One weekend we took our motorhome to Bury, Lancashire - just 8 miles north of my hometown of Manchester, so it was simple to invite my parents over for 2 days whilst we stayed on the Caravan Club site at Burrs Country Park. motorhome rental hobart is really a relaxing setting with riverside and country walks from the site along with a good venue for climbing, orienteering and abseiling, the truth is on the weekend we visited there is a small grouping of canoeists triggering near the site. There is also motorhome rental tasmania from Bury town centre into Manchester in the event you fancy a trip further afield.
Burrs Country Park is defined in 10 acres craigs list 80 pitches, most hard standing and possesses good facilities from your shower block for the recycling. There is a pub in easy reach.
The highlight of this campsite was the East Lancashire steam railway that passes behind the campsite at regular intervals over the weekend. I can know how this may irritate many people however for me and my Dad - the sight and odor of these trains were would have been a bit of nostalgia, although clearly I am too young to remember steam besides from Thomas the Tank Engine!!
Bury, like a town, can be an old mill town famous for its black puddings, which can be still sold hot or cold at its market every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Bury's most famous son may be the founder in the Metropolitan Police and Prime Minister with the United Kingdom, Sir Robert Peel.
Officially campervan hire launceston airport for our day at Bury was for my partner to act as 'physio' in a local charity rugby match for the Sunday morning, and we all arrived early and I parked inside the motorhome as close to possible in a vehicle park along with view in the match.
I invited Mum and Dad once again for that event. I should probably admit that I, personally and my parents, have little desire for rugby, or most sports generally, but we occasionally get wheeled out for such occasions.
As it happens the next thunderstorm was terrible around the day along with the match took place in pouring rain.
Sad to convey whilst players along with the 'physio' got soaked, Mum, Dad and I were sat inside the motorhome reading the Sunday papers in the warm current kettle on, but making the sporadic 'supportive' glance out in the window. It was bliss!!
I suppose it's fair to state that it could not always possible to adopt a motorhome to this kind of event 'just in case' the elements fails, however it WAS good fun!
